Two Orange Pygmy Seahorses, "Pygs"

At one site where we stayed the day doing macro underwater photography, I came upon a beautiful orange sea fan. It was such a beautiful color that I searched carefully for any small creature to use in a composition.

Imagine my surprise when I found 3 nice-sized pygmy seahorses. I marked the fan with a nearby stick from the rainforest above by sticking it vertically into the sand. Other divers were able to locate the fan and get some photos of these cool pygmy seahorses, or as we call them, "pygs".

Housed Nexus F4, 105mm lens, Woody's diopter, 2 Sea and Sea YS-120 strobes.
